Shane Smith, CEO and Founder of Intelligent Crowd TV, to sit on a panel at the Great British Private Investor Summit
For the last ten years the BBC’s Dragons’ Den has proved to be a brilliantly successful format, regularly pulling in millions of viewers and returning over 12 million hits when put into Google. It has revolutionised the way we see investor/entrepreneur interaction. Now Shane Smith’s Intelligent Crowd TV seeks to do the same with the crowdfunding sector. Crowdfunding platforms have recently been turning more and more to online video, and Intelligent Crowd TV is a natural extension of that.
Broadcast on Thursdays, each live webcast episode begins with City stalwart Nick Batsford talking with four management teams before handing them over to Argus Research, one of New York’s oldest equity research firms, and then the online audience for a live Q&A via Skype. The audience is invited to register an expression of interest, such as an amount that they think they might wish to invest. If the audience collectively indicates that a company could achieve its fundraising objective, it will go live for crowd funding, with the audience receiving a link which provides priority access in the investment round for 48 hours.
We are delighted to announce that Shane Smith, the CEO and Founder of Intelligent Crowd TV, will be sitting on the third panel – ‘Exceptional schemes for exceptional investors’ - at the Great British Private Investor Summit on Wednesday 18th March. Along with the other panellists he will be discussing how to optimise the returns you can obtain from SEIS, EIS and other tax efficient schemes formally approved by HM Government.
